Terms of participation in Midburn Association events 

These terms are worded in masculine for convenience only, but are addressed to both women and men

 

1. Introduction

These terms constitute an agreement for all intents and purposes between the Midburn Association, A.R. 580567600 "(Event organizer") (the association and the production team will be referred to hereinafter jointly and severally: "the organizers"), and between each and every one of the profile owners registered on the association's website and / or ticket purchasers regarding participation in any event organized by  The association ("event / s").

You are requested to read carefully and carefully what is stated in these terms. If you do not agree to any of the terms, you are required not to attend the event.

 Your participation in the event constitutes absolute and unconditional consent to all that is stated in these conditions.

Any reference in these terms to the participant, whether in the first person or in the second person, whether singular or in the plural, also includes his minor children and / or anyone accompanying him to the event, and for which the participant is responsible and / or To his behavior.  1.1 The ten principles for personal conduct at an event

1.2 Environmental conditions at the event

It is clarified that the event prohibits trade of any kind and it will not be possible to obtain and / or purchase anything at the event. Therefore, you must take care of yourself as much as you need for your existence, well-being and maintaining your health during the event, also according to the guidelines and recommendations in the survival guide, all according to the event conditions, location and season.

 

2. Personal responsibility

  2.1 Keep your safety!

First of all - take care of yourself! Listen to your needs and the demands of your body, take care of your safety and the safety of those around you and pay attention to anything that could endanger your well-being.

2.2 Take care of your health!

By participating in the event, you confirm and declare that you are fit and healthy and can participate in the event and any related activities, and that you are not prohibited by any physician from engaging in such events or activities. 
If at the time of an event you are not in a normal state of health that allows you to participate in it, you are required not to attend it.

2.3 Take care of the children!

Children under the age of 18 are invited to attend events open to minors after giving consent to both parents during the event the child must be  Accompanied by a parent only. You have a duty to maintain the safety of your children personally throughout the event, and the full responsibility for their participation, presence or viewing of the various activities that will take place at the event

Please note that the law prohibits the serving of alcohol to minors under the age of 18.

For the avoidance of doubt, these terms of participation apply in full to your children, and by bringing them to the event you approve of these terms also for them as their natural guardian. And if one or both parents do not accompany the child to the event, a parental consent form must be signed, which constitutes the approval of both parents for the minor's participation.  

 

2.4 Preserve the environment!

You are absolutely responsible for cleaning your environment throughout the event and especially at the end. You must take with you any equipment, material or waste, whether you brought it with you or accumulated while you were at the event in such a way that there will be no sign of you being there.

As part of participating in the event, you are asked to donate your time and help with cleaning during and after the event.

 

2.5 Keep an eye on your belongings!

You are personally and exclusively responsible for all the equipment and property that you bring with you to the event. We recommend marking your name, phone number, email address on your belongings. Also make sure to keep valuables under supervision or in a safe place. The organizers will not be liable for any loss or damage caused to your property.

 

Entering and exiting the event

When you enter the event, you will meet the gate volunteers ("Gritters") who will assist you in realizing the card you own and in the process of entering the event.

3.1 Exercise of the card at the entrance

Admission to each event is conditional on:

Presenting a valid card for each participant, with his or her identification information.

Presenting an ID card - ID, passport or driver's license

Note: The card is personal. It is not possible to transfer a ticket to another person, without the prior written approval of the organizers, as long as they choose to confirm it.

3.2 What is not allowed in the event?

Animals - It is forbidden to bring animals to an event of any kind (including pets) 

Except for guide dogs for the blind.

Any type of substance that is dangerous, toxic, harmful or prohibited by law.

All weapons - bringing cold or hot weapons into the event area is strictly prohibited. Please note that the ban on bringing weapons into the temporary city also applies to licensed firearms holders. There will be no weapons deposit stand at the event.

Drugs - The importation of dangerous drugs as defined by law is prohibited.

Any item or material you import will be banned by the authorized licensing authorities.


 

3.3 Consent to an inspection at the entrance

The organizers and / or the Israel Police may inspect the vehicle and / or the vehicle you arrived with, in order to check that you do not have any things prohibited by law or these conditions, and to make sure that everyone has a valid entrance ticket. You undertake to cooperate with the above parties. Failure to cooperate with such an inspection may result in you being prevented from entering the event.

 

3.4 Wearing a bracelet

When you enter the event, the gate volunteers will wear a bracelet by you. Children under the age of 18 (at events that are allowed to participate) will receive a bracelet in a different and prominent color that will differentiate them from the other participants, among other things to alleviate the enforcement of the ban on serving alcohol to minors. Each participant must wear the bracelet throughout the event.

It is hereby clarified that the organizers will work by all means to ensure that a bracelet is worn by each participant, and participants caught without a bracelet will be removed from the event immediately.

 

3.5 Accessibility of the event for participants with disabilities

3.6 Exit from the event complex

The exit from the event complex will be possible only through the entrance and exit gates. Please note that if you went out and wanted to return to the event, you may have to wait in the entry queue and re-enter exactly the same way you entered the event for the first time, such as: presenting the card and / or displaying the bracelet, identifying and allowing your vehicle / vehicle to search. 4. Rules of conduct at the event

4.1 Inclusion and tolerance

Absolute self-expression stems from the uniqueness of the individual. You can determine and define your own characteristics of uniqueness, but in order to allow you and the other participants to experience the event in full and with maximum enjoyment, you must respect the rights and freedoms of all other participants in inclusion and tolerance.

4.2 Zero tolerance for violence

4.3  Total self-expression in the event

It is important to know that some of the participants in the event may behave or dress differently from the day-to-day, depending on the individual's self-expressions, such as other behaviors than usual or wearing different / partial clothing. You confirm that you have chosen to attend the event out of understanding, knowledge and desire to be at such an event.

 

4.4 Sexuality, expression and keeping boundaries

Sexual harassment violates human dignity, freedom, privacy, and gender equality, is contrary to the association's policy, and it will not accept them. In addition to the Sexual Harassment Prevention Law that applies to you, by participating in the event, you declare and undertake that the provisions of the procedure for the treatment and prevention of sexual harassment apply to you in full, including the authority of the committee commissioner on behalf of the association. We emphasize that sexual harassment is a criminal act and a cause of civil and tort action. .
If you are injured or exposed to harm by a participant in the incident, we recommend that you report it to the law enforcement authorities and at the same time inform the Commissioner for the Prevention of Sexual Harassment on behalf of the association:

4.5 Prohibited activity

all  Commercial and political activities of all kinds, including the distribution of ideological materials, advertising, hoisting flags and placing signs of commercial entities, parties and organizations working to influence and recruit supporters - are strictly prohibited.

 

4.6 "Nomads"

"Nomads" teams will operate at the events. The nomads are volunteers who have been trained to act in order to bridge and assist in resolving conflicts that may arise between the participants of the event. The nomads help to maintain the security, serenity and quality of the experience of the event. Please note that nomads are not part of law enforcement authorities and do not directly intervene in circumstances that constitute offenses against the law. The nomads tour the event throughout its length and can be identified by a khaki robe with the nomads symbol. You are required to obey and obey their instructions.

 

4.7 Maintaining Law and Order

State laws apply to you in full during the entire event. You must be responsible for maintaining the law and public order and obeying the instructions of the security forces and / or the organizers. Non-compliance with the instructions of the security forces and / or the organizers may result in your removal from the event.

5. Photography and documentation (stills and video)

5.1 Photography at the event

As a rule, each event constitutes a space that allows the participant to behave and express himself in a way unique to him. We recommend that you leave the camera in a safe place and immediately experience the event indirectly not through the camera viewfinder.

5.2 Rules of Photography

Because photography is sometimes an integral part of the experience of many of the participants, and in order to document the event while giving all participants the freedom to express themselves without fear, event photography is subject to the rules set forth in this section (hereinafter: "Photography Rules").

5.2.1 The photograph will be for use  Personal of the photographer or subject only. Photography for any other purpose

  5.3 Photographers authorized at the event

Authorized photographers may wear special identification badges at the event. As a participant in the event, you authorize the association to make use of your photos taken by licensed photographers for the benefit of promoting the association's goals, including through the website and social networks. If you still see the use made of the photo you are taking as infringing on your privacy, please contact the association that will work to remove it.

If you are a journalist or art photographer or documentary documentary or if you are interested for any reason in taking pictures for publication and / or in case you want to take a camera with a hovercraft at the event, and if you are interested in volunteering and being a photographer for event production, you can apply for prior approval Via email gallery@midburn.org. 5.4 Violation of the rules of photography

The rules of photography constitute a basic condition for your participation in the event and with your approval of these rules you undertake to abide by them without any reservation. Violation of any of the photography rules will constitute a serious injury to the spirit of the event and the community and thus may cause the event organizer and its participants heavy damage, and it will do whatever is necessary to prevent this. 

5.5 Agreed compensation for publishing photos in violation of the photography rules

In any case where you publish and / or distribute photos that you took in violation of the photo rules to the public and / or on the Internet and / or on a social network, you may be sued by the event organizer and / or by any other injured party to compensate them.

In view of your knowledge and understanding of the damage you may cause to the event organizer in violation of the photo rules and especially while posting photos in violation of them, and in particular offensive and / or revealing and / or invading privacy photos, you declare and promise the event organizer that in case you post such photos And agreed by you in advance in the amount of NIS 50,000 for each photo and / or publication. You acknowledge that this amount is reasonable and reasonable in the circumstances of the case and that you will have to pay it even without the event organizer being required to prove the damage, without infringing on its right to sue and prove higher damage.

 

6 Event safety

6.1 Safety above all

The organizers see safety at the event as a supreme value and as a fundamental and essential condition for existence  Any event at all. Each participant has a full responsibility not to endanger any other person in his actions. You are required to "raise your head" and be alert to the safety risks that exist in your area and to act to prevent and / or remove them, and if necessary to alert the organizers of hazards immediately.

6.2 The safety of your encampment

If the stay at the event includes accommodation in the area, you intend to set up a tent / shading / tent, you must plan in advance and take into account every possible safety aspect in this regard before coming to the event. You must bring with you everything necessary for the establishment and a safe and responsible stay, and take care of the establishment, maintenance and dismantling  Of your encampment, or any facility included in it, in a safe and responsible manner while avoiding risks throughout the event.

6.3 Safety of installations, activities and facilities

Some of the events include, and are even dedicated to, complete self-expression and art, installations - any type of sculpture or art placed at the event, moves - installations in motion, performances, performances, content / theme activities and unique costumes at the event. This is the perfect place to give free rein to creativity and allow creation without boundaries and without limits. The art created at the event is non-commercial, uninvited and does not carry any branding.

6.5 Safety - General

During the entire event, you must follow the safety instructions that will be distributed and published in connection with the event, as well as obey any other and / or additional safety instructions provided to you by the organizers in any way. Safety risk and reserve the right to take immediate action to repair or remove anything that poses a danger to public safety and you will not have any claims in this regard. The event organizers also have the right to charge you for the expenses involved in repairing or clearing the safety hazard.

7. Volunteers; participation

As part of our community values, we encourage community effort and participation. The basic assumption is that co-creation builds a human connection and community partnership. This is of course beyond the possibility of creating on a larger scale. Volunteering is an integral part of the event experience, and the volunteers are the ones who enable the event to take place.

Please note that your volunteering for the benefit of the association and / or as part of the event is not covered by the National Insurance Law.


 

8 Awareness of risks, waiver and release

8.1 Risks in the event

8.2 Waiver and Release

You are solely responsible for everything that happens to you at the event, in connection with or due to your participation in it.

You understand and know that the event will feature works of art, installations, theme camps, events and performances,

You release the organizers and anyone who acts on their behalf or on their behalf from any responsibility for any

You declare that you are in a state of physical and mental health that allows you to participate in the event.  

 

9 General

9.1 You authorize the organizers to send you updates and notifications via the email account (e-mail) you specified when registering / updating your profile on the association's website, including updates, changes and additions to these terms, which will apply to you with such mailing and you undertake to be updated. In them and obey them. The provisions of these terms and conditions will also apply to updates sent to you as aforesaid.

9.2 If the organizers receive information that you have acted in an event in the past, or that you intend to act in an event contrary to the ten principles and / or in violation of any of these conditions, the event organizer may, at its sole discretion, cancel your ticket and / or your right to participate in the event. In such a case, you will be entitled to a refund of the price of the ticket due to its cancellation, and except for this refund, you will not be entitled to any other / additional compensation due to such cancellation.

9.3 In the event of an event in which you participate in any of these Terms, the Event Organizer may act against you in its sole discretion in any of the following ways, and without any liability to you as a result:

Stop participating in the event and get out of the event area immediately.

Require repair of the violation / injury by you for all that this implies.

Prohibit you and prevent you from participating in any other event, for a limited period of time or at all, and / or 

Freeze or cancel your registration as a profile owner on the association's website.

The local jurisdiction for any matter concerning the event and these regulations will be in the competent court in the Tel Aviv-Jaffa District.

 

I confirm that I have read and understood the above conditions and I undertake to comply with them in full, and that I waive any claim of ignorance of any of the conditions. It is known and clear to me that if I had not agreed to be subject to these conditions as stated, the organizers would not have agreed to my participation in the event in the first place. Please read the following terms and conditions carefully and thoroughly. In case you disagree with any of these terms and conditions, you are hereby required not to attend the event.

Any reference herein of “participant (s), whether singular or plural, also includes their children, minors under their care and / or anyone else who accompanies the participant and for whom the participant assumes full responsibility. This agreement supersedes any content presented on the website, which may stand in contradiction to these terms and conditions.

1.1.       The Ten Principles guiding personal conduct

Residents of the city create, behave, participate and conduct themselves in keeping with the Ten Principles. You are required to read the Ten Principles prior to attending the event, and to conduct yourself accordingly during the event and during any other activity relating to the event construction, duration and disassembly.

1.2.       Physical conditions

Please note that the event may take place in open air, and under various weather conditions that may be harsh or extreme, depending on the location and the season. Moreover, it is prohibited for the participants to perform any kind of trade or barter in the event, and hence you must independently take care of yourself, your health and your living conditions. You are required to provide yourself with shelter and protection from the elements, as well as enough food and water to last for the duration of the event, and any other provisions you might need for yourself.

2.   Personal Responsibility    

2.1.       Keep safe!

2.2.       Keep yourself healthy!

By participating in the event you hereby confirm and declare that you are healthy and able to participate in the event and in any activity it entails and that you are not forbidden by any physician to participate in the event or in any kind of activity in the event . If at the time of the event you will not be in good health that allows you to safely take part in it, you are required not to attend the event.

2.3.        Watch your kids!

Minors under the age of 18 are invited to participate in the event, provided both parents give their consent. They must also be accompanied by at least one parent during the event. You are personally required to keep the safety of your children throughout the event. For your information, in certain compounds in the event there will be activities which may not be suitable for children. You are requested to remain alert and be responsible for the content or activities your children are exposed to during the event.

By law it is prohibited to serve alcohol to minors under the age of 18. It is your responsibility to make sure that your own children do not have access to alcohol.

These terms and conditions apply to both you and your children, and by bringing them to the event, you affirm this agreement also for them as their legal guardian. You also approve that they have the consent of both their parents to attend the event. If any of the two parents does not accompany the minor, a Parental Consent Form must be signed by both parents. 

2.4.        Watch the environment!

You are personally responsible for the cleanliness of your surroundings for the entire duration of the event, and especially when the event ends.

You must take back with you any equipment, material or waste, whether you brought it with you or it accumulated in your area while staying in the event. You must take everything out of the event in such a way that there is no trace you were there.

As part of your participation in the event you are also asked to contribute from your time and help clean the city during and after the event.

2.5.        Watch over your belongings!

You are personally and exclusively responsible for anything you bring with you into the event. We recommend marking your belongings with your name, email, phone number and camp location, as well as keeping your valuable items under supervision or in a safe location. The organizers are not liable for any loss, theft or damage to your belongings.

3.   Entering and Exiting the Event

When entering the event, you will meet the “Gaters” who will assist you in realizing your ticket and help you with entering the city.

3.1.       Using your ticket

Your entrance and the entrance of your children is dependent upon:

3.1.1.     Presenting a valid ticket for each participant.

3.1.2.     Presenting an identity document such as social security card, driver's license or passport.

Attention: The ticket is personal and is not transferable without prior written permission from the organizers. 

  3.1.3.     Enforcement

3.1.3.1 An individual identified within the event without a valid ticket will be immediately removed from the event.

  3.1.3.1 An individual infiltrating the event inside a car, trunk, or any other method, will be immediately removed from the event, along with his companions, whose tickets, even if valid, will be canceled. 

3.1.3.1 An individual, along with his collaborators, who illegally infiltrated the event will be banned from participating in 3 following events organized by the Association. 

A “collaborator” is a participant who in any way aided an individual in illegally infiltrating the event. 

3.2.       What you are not allowed to bring

3.2.1.     Animals - It is prohibited to bring any animals or pets to the event, excluding guide dogs for the blind.

3.2.2.     Any type of hazardous, poisonous, dangerous or any other material prohibited by law.

3.2.3.     Any type of weapon is prohibited by law in the event, please note that this also applies to persons with a permit to carry a firearm. There will be no place to deposit your firearms in the event.

3.2.4.     Drugs - It is prohibited by law to bring any form or type of illegal drugs into the event.

3.2.5.     Any other item or material which may be prohibited by regulatory authorities.

3.3.       Search acceptance

The organizers or Israeli Police are allowed to perform a search on you and at the vehicle in which you arrived in order to check that you do not possess anything prohibited by law or by these terms and conditions, as well as to ensure that all of the passengers have a valid entrance ticket. Refusal of cooperation with such measures may deny you entry to the event.

3.4.       Wearing the Midburn bracelet

When entering the gate, volunteers will provide you with a bracelet. Minors under the age of 18 will be provided a differently colored bracelet that stands out from the rest of the participants, among other reasons, to help enforce the ban on serving alcohol to minors. Each participant must wear the bracelet for the entire duration of the event. Wearing the bracelet is mandatory, and participants who are caught without it may face expulsion from the event.

3.5.       Accessibility for disabled participants

People with disabilities are invited to attend the event. The organizers will strive to provide the maximum possible access for disabled participants, taking into account the physical conditions, and as guided by the law.

3.6.       Leaving the event area

Leaving the event area will be allowed only through the exit route in the gate of the city. Please note that if you leave the temporary city and want to return, you may have to wait in the entrance line and re-enter the exact same way you had entered for the first time. (including presenting your ticket, displaying a bracelet, identification and possible search of the vehicle).

4.   Code of Conduct in Midburn

4.1.       Inclusion and Tolerance

However, in order to allow other participants to fully experience and enjoy the event you must respect the rights and freedoms of all of the other participants with inclusion and tolerance.

4.2.       Zero tolerance to violence

The organizers of the event have a zero tolerance policy towards violence of any type, whether it is physical, verbal or behavioral. If you are harmed by another participant during the event, it is your responsibility to report this to the authorities.

The organizers retain the right to remove any violent participant from the event, and ban them from attending future events.

4.3.       Radical Self Expression

It is important that you know that some of the participants in the event may behave differently or dress in a different way than their every-day clothes, according to each person's individual self-expression. This self-expression may include among other things also partial or full nudity. By signing this you are confirming that you choose to willfully and knowingly  participate in such an event.

4.4.       Sexuality, sexual expression, and boundaries

Radical self-expression, whether related to nudity or sexual appearance, must not be viewed as an acceptance or invitation to physical contact or any other offensive sexual act. For your information - sexual harassment or any act intended for sexual stimulation, satisfaction or abuse of another person without their consent is strictly prohibited by the guidelines of the association. The association will handle such behavior according to its procedures for handling sexual harassment. These procedures are a binding part of these terms and conditions. By participating in the event, you are also subject to the Israeli Law for the Prevention of Sexual Harassment , and may be prosecuted accordingly if suspected of such acts. 

If you were harmed by a participant of the event, you are encouraged to report it to the authorities, and also inform the person in charge of safe space in Midburn events at the following mail: safespace@midburn.org.

4.5.       Prohibited activity 

Any political or commercial activity, which may include advertising, distribution of ideological content, waving flags, presentation of commercial or political signage, raising support for political parties or other ideological organizations, is strictly prohibited.

4.6.       Rangers

The Temporary City will have Rangers teams. The Rangers are volunteers who are trained to bridge over and help resolve conflicts that may arise between participants in the event. The Rangers also help to protect the safety, peacefulness and quality of the experience of the event. The Rangers are not part of the law enforcing authorities and they do not involve themselves in cases that may be in violation of the law. The Rangers patrol the city 24 hours a day and are recognized by a khaki colored vest with the Rangers patch. You are requested to listen and obey their directions.

4.7.       Keeping law and order

The event takes place in the State of Israel and therefore the laws of Israel fully apply to you during the entire event. It is your responsibility to uphold the law and civic order and observe the directions given by authorities or the organizers of the event. Failure to comply with the directions of the security forces and / or the organizers may bring to your expulsion from the event.

5.   Photography and Documentation (videos and stills)

5.1.       Photography in the event

As a rule, the temporary city creates a space that enables participants to behave and express themselves in any unique way they may wish. To ensure the free expression and privacy of everyone, we recommend to leave the camera in a safe place and experience the event in a more present way rather than through the lens of the camera.

5.2.       Rules of photography

Photography is sometimes an inevitable part of the experience of many participants. In order to enable documenting the event while giving the opportunity for everybody to fearlessly express themselves, photography in the event is allowed for either authorized persons, or other photographers who will be subject to the rules set forth in this section (the "Rules of Photography "), as well as to the provisions of the law:

5.2.1.     Photography will be for personal use of the photographer and the photographed person specifically. Photography for any other purpose is strictly forbidden.

5.2.2.     You are required to receive explicit consent from the participants identifiable in the frame, and to avoid any filming that may harm personal privacy. 

5.2.3.     You may not publish or spread images of any participant in any form of media or network, internet web sites, blogs and social networks, where the participant may be recognized without their explicit consent.

5.3.       Authorized photographers in the event

During the event photos may be taken by authorized photographers, who are wearing a special badge. These photographers will be trained and approved by the Media Department of the association and will strive to avoid harming the privacy of participants and the nature of the event while taking pictures and publishing them. The provisions concerning the photographs of authorized photographers are different from the usual rules of photography. These photographers will be compliant with the rules and regulations which are issued to them, and they will be able to post pictures even without the explicit permission of the subject.

As a participant in the event you hereby authorize the Midburn Association to use photos of you, taken by authorized photographers, in order to promote the goals of the association, including use in the website and social networks. However, if you see a picture of you which you think violates your privacy, please contact us and we will remove it.

If you are either a journalist, artistic photographer, a documentarist, or if you want to take photos for publishing in public for any reason and / or if you wish to film using drones during the event, or if you would like to volunteer to be a photographer for the production of the event, you may apply for approval by contacting the Media Department via email at gallery@midburn.org.

5.4.       Violating photography rules

Please note that the Rules of Photography are a mandatory condition for your participation in the event and with your consent to these regulations you undertake to meet them without reservation. Violating any of the Rules of Photography is against community spirit and may greatly harm the event, the organizers and other participants. Therefore, the Association will take any action necessary to prevent such violations.

5.5.       Agreed reparations for publishing images contrary to the “Rules of photography”

Be aware that in any case where you will advertise, publish or show on internet web sites, social networks or any social media, images which were taken against the Rules of Photography, you may be sued for compensation by the organizers of the event and by any other participant who might be harmed by the images.

As you know and understand the damage you may cause to the organizers of the event by breaking the rules of photography, specifically publishing images not in accordance with the Rules of Photography, you hereby declare and commit to the organizers of the event that in the case that you publish such images, you will compensate them for any damages they may incur with a sum agreed upon beforehand of 50,000 New Israeli Shekels for any image or publication. You affirm that this sum is reasonable and acceptable, and that you will be required to pay the full amount without the prior need of the organizers to prove the amount of damages. This agreement does not preclude the organizers from claiming higher compensations in accordance with the nature of the violation.

6.   Safety in the event

6.1.       Safety above all

The event organizers consider safety a top priority and an essential condition for the establishment of the temporary city and the event at large. Each participant has full responsibility not to endanger anyone else in his actions. You are required to be alert to the risks that exist in your environment and take action to prevent and / or remove them, and if necessary, to immediately alert the organizers.

6.2.       Camp safety

The establishment of a tent or camp in the temporary city may be accompanied by many safety risks, and potentially hazardous objects such as poles, stakes, large shading, tools, etc. You should pre-plan and take into account all safety issues, and are personally responsible for the safe establishment, maintenance, and dismantling of your tent \ camp. You must bring with you everything needed for a safe and responsible construction and stay, while preventing risks throughout the duration of the event.

6.3.       Installations and theme camp safety

The establishment of a Theme Camp or an art installation in the temporary city may be accompanied by additional safety risks. Therefore, if you participate in the construction of an art installation or Theme camp, you should plan ahead and take into account every possible safety aspect of it. It is your responsibility to take care of and bring with you all that is necessary for the construction, dismantling and maintenance of the installation or activity safely and responsibly, while preventing any risk to you and other participants throughout the event. Please note that taking part in an activity, or interacting with any installation is under the sole responsibility of the participant.

6.4.       Activity and content safety

If you plan to host activities during the event that may pose danger of any kind, such as fire activities (eg juggling), circus and acrobatics or any other dangerous activity, it is your full responsibility to be very strict with your personal safety and the safety of other participants.

If you choose to participate during the event in hazardous activities of any kind, you do this at your own risk.

6.5.       Safety above all

During the event, you should act according to the safety instructions that will be published ahead of the event, and follow any instructions that will be delivered to you in any way by the organizers.

Please note that the organizers and their representatives may instruct you to correct or remove any safety hazard and reserve the right to take immediate action to correct or remove anything that constitutes a danger to the public. You agree to immediately comply with such orders without any objections. Additionally, the organizers of the event have the right to charge you for expenses incurred for correcting or removing the safety hazard.

7.   Volunteers and Participation

As part of our community values​​ , we encourage community effort and participation. The basic premise is that joint creation builds human connection and partnership. Volunteering is an inseparable part of Midburn experience and the volunteers are those who enable the existence of the event by building the city, operating it and eventually disassembling it. 

Please note that your volunteering activity throughout the event is not covered by the Israeli National Insurance Law.

8.   Awareness of Risks

8.1.       Risks

The event organizers will do everything in their power to manage all aspects of safety during the event in accordance with the law and the license terms. However, considering the amount of participants and possible risks, you acknowledge the existence of risks, and by purchasing a ticket you confirm knowing and understanding that during the event you might be a part of possibly dangerous activities either as a participant, a viewer or a bystander. These activities might involve the risk of injury, disability, death, loss of  possessions or any other possible damage that may happen as a result of any of the following causes or a combination of some of them:

8.1.1.     Actions or lack thereof, errors and innocent mistakes done by the organizers, volunteers and other participants.

8.1.2.     The conditions and limitations of the event, including the equipment in use.

8.1.3.     Weather and temperature conditions.

8.1.4.     The state of the other participants.

8.1.5.     Other unforeseeable risks.

8.2.       Waiver and Release

Given the above, in purchasing a ticket and using it to enter the temporary city, and / or actively participating in the event in any way, you commit and declare on your behalf, and on behalf of anyone under your responsibility such as underaged minors , the following:

8.2.1. I am solely responsible for all that may happen to me during the event or as a result of participating in it.

8.2.2. I understand and acknowledge the event will feature works of art, installations, theme camps, events and performances, which are not under the responsibility or ownership of the organizers and therefore I am aware of and knowingly undertake all risks that can be associated with my participation in any manner.

8.2.3. I release the organizers and all those acting on their behalf of any responsibility for damages caused to me or my possessions during the event.

8.2.4. I will undertake to indemnify the organizers, their agents, or third parties for any expense incurred on them due to damages caused by me during the event as a result of the risks listed above.

8.2.5. I hereby declare that no physical or mental health issues prevent me from attending the event. 

9.   General

9.1.       Email updates

You authorize the organizers to contact you via the email address you have provided at time of purchasing the ticket, concerning updates, news, and changes to these terms and conditions which will immediately apply to you, and you commit to stay informed in this manner and adhere to any of the updates.

9.2.       Involuntary cancellation

In the event of the organizers receiving information that you have previously violated, or intend to violate the Ten Principles or the event Terms and Conditions, the organizers reserve the right to cancel your ticket or your entitlement for a ticket at their sole discretion. In such a case, you will be eligible only for a refund for the price of the ticket, without any additional / further compensation whatsoever.

9.3.       Violations of the Terms and Conditions

In case you violate any of these Terms and Conditions, the organizers will be entitled to act in any or several of the following ways at their sole discretion, and with no further liability:

9.3.1. Immediately terminate your participation in the event and remove you from the event area.

9.3.2. Require you to mend your violation with all that implies.

9.3.3. Prevent you from participating temporarily or permanently in other events by the association and \ or cancel or suspend your profile in the association's website.

9.4.       Jurisdiction

The local jurisdiction for all legal matters concerning this event will be the Tel-Aviv District Court.

  Acceptance of Terms and Conditions

I hereby confirm that I have read and understood the Terms and Conditions and promise to fulfill all the conditions, and renounce all claims of not knowing the Terms and Conditions. I am fully aware that without agreeing to oblige to these terms, my participation would not have been approved by the organizers of this event. If I arrive at this event with my children, I hereby confirm and accept all the terms in this document on their behalf, as their legal guardian, and approve that both parents gave their consent by signing the Parental Consent Form.
